Fitzroy Eye Candy

I spent the day wandering around Fitzroy (Melbourne) in particular Gertrude street. It's full of interesting arty shops all very individual in content. The street and alleyways are full of colour and textures that excite the senses. I bought a great little book on the urban alphabet from www.artisan.com.au The book by Simon Jennings presents "a treasure trove of type forms that can be found in our everyday lives" I am now enthused to seek out my own examples...so watch this space

I really like the shade of colour in these photos and there's something about the texture too. Michael
