paper flowers

I saw some paper flowers similar to these in a funky
gift-ware shop made out of old books. So decided to google the design and make some for myself. I used vintage children's books from the local tip shop and followed the excellent instructions from:
Satay sticks were used for the stems and a glue gun used to stick it all together. They would also look good made out of vintage music manuscripts or as a creative friend has suggested the bark from paperbark trees.

OVER WROUGHT

I'm a big fan of iron in all its many forms and designs. It has been used for thousands of years to create practical and decorative pieces that stand the test of time........ there's  ancient pieces, frilly Victorian iron lace, streamline art deco, retro 50's and 60's and wonderful modern examples as well. The shadows they throw on a sunny day are an added bonus.

Photoshop

I love old signage. I saw these examples in the small town of Chilton in northern Victoria (just off the Hume Hwy) which was full of junky antique and collectable shops. A great place to visit if your ever passing by.
