Flying High and Laying Low

I was lucky recently to be invited to Leonie's house in Maldon (Central Victoria). She has been an Antique collector and trader for many years and her house is a virtual wonderland of stunning ceramics, furniture, kitchen items, textiles and many other quirky collectables. Being a bit of a bird nut my eyes were drawn to the flying kookaburra's on the wall. I have seen plenty of flying ducks but never our laughing friends. Leonie says they are very rare and hail from the 1940's.

How wonderful. I have my own collection of flying ducks/birds from the 50's but have never seen a kookaburra before. I want one!!

Hi :) My friend has just acquired a set of these gorgeous kookaburras but she isn't sure of the maker? Did your friend happen to mention who made them?
Thanks,
Glynis
